Sign-in to your account by going to the website of
https://outlook.office365.com
and login with your Lakeland credentials.
Once you are signed-in, select your name or initials in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Then select View account.
Select Security Info on the left-hand side of the screen. Select Change under Default sign-in method.
From the drop down menu, select the
Microsoft Authenticator - notification
method to be the default then select Confirm. If you are using any type of phone instead of the Authenticator app, please select
Phone - call +1 XXXXXXXXXX
. MFA is now required when signing into the remote gateway (
https://remote.lakeland.edu
) and either the push notifications on the Microsoft Authenticator app or phone call will work to approve the sign-in request. As long as you have either of those methods selected, you will be able to successfully login to the remote gateway.
